Handwritten letter from Treasurer George Wm. Bond to President Jacob Bigelow dated May 13th, 1856. Writing from 7 Milk Street in Boston, to approve payment of a $1500 bank draft to sculptor Richard S. Greenhough for the statue of Governor John Winthrop. The verso of the document contains Bigelow's approval "without recourse" to himself. The document is written on both sides of an unlined letter-sized page, both manuscripts in black ink. The paper is light blue. |
