Handwritten letter from Superintendent Colonel Charles W. Folsom to President John T. Bradlee dated February 29th, 1872. Folsom reported that the "Sphinx" had arrived (the block of granite that it would be carved from) at the Cemetery and was "resting in its temporary place". The letter is written on Superintendent's stationery, on one side of an unlined sheet. |
