Handwritten deed for a partition of 150 acres of land in Watertown sold to Cornelius Stone of Watertown for $7,000 by Asaph Stone and his wife Jane Stone of Philadelphia. The land included a house, barn, and outbuildings. The deed is written in black ink on two legal-sized pages and enclosed by a third page with a filing title. The deed was signed by the sellers on October 6th, 1818. Alderman Michael Keppele, also from Philadephia, acted as witness signature and signed the same day. The deed was received and registered in the Registry of Deeds of Cambridge on October 29th, 1818. |
