"Consideration." 9 copies of a 3-page folding pamphlet in a file folder. A sales advertising brochure for Mount Auburn Cemetery, dated 1949. On the cover is a reproduction of a photograph of Auburn Lake taken by Arthur C. Haskell and a quote from Proverbs XVI:15 "The prudent man Looketh well to his going.". In the interior on page 1 is text titled "For your family's sake" - with paragraph headings: "Of course you don't want to think about it...," "But those you love will have to face it," "You can spare your family needless distress," and "You can follow your own judgement and good taste." On page 2: "Mount Auburn - its Beauty and Dignity" and "Shrine of the Famous." On the back page 3: "Ample facililties for years to come," and "Visit Mount Auburn now." The address: "Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge 38, Massachusetts, Telephone Kirkland 7-7105." Copy 1 has the date inscribed in pencil "(1949)" below the title. Copy 2 has the date inscribed in pencil "(1949)" as well as "Mount Auburn Cemetery File Copy" stamped in black ink above the title. |
